CSIA convention Tremblant Dec 6-8

The CSIA fall convention at Tremblant will take place on Dec 6-8.  Early bird running till Nov 20.  Check out at snowpro.com.  Great sessions for three days and discount ticket at the Mountain.  

BTW the CSIA ontario confernce on Nov 1 was excellent.  We have Brian Donato wiho talked about his injury and how he found new life even through he has become a disabled person ( on whee chair) and still give sessioning to the instructors of his ski school at Hockley Valley.  John Gilles talked about the brain and skiing - fascinating.  Also a Chinese doctor Dr. Lam from Torontofit talked about no strength - no control.  Warren Jobbit talked about mentoring and JF Lalonde talked about the importance of equipment - notably the goggle,  interesting.   Other sessions include teaching kids which I did not attend.  I suggest that next year they should have sessions on how to adapt our  teaching to seniors.

Hope to see you on the slopes soon!   Tremblant is opening on Nov 22.

Yes.  I have going for the last 14 years.  I have enjoyed it every year.  Non member can also come as friends. They pay the same.  It is fabulous value.  Visist the website fo the CSIA

Cool. Those topics are mentioned in the latest skipromag as well. Hopefully there will be smth more technical going on at Mont Tremblant.

Also I saw Simon Holden a couple days ago as he was invited to be our speaker at the indoor clinic for our ski club.  He is the only level 4 ski and level 4 snowboard instructor in Canada.   He said that he will be going to the CSIA convention too.  If you have a chance try a session with him.  I find he really teaches well.
