Job Description

POSITION:                           Avionics  Systems Simulation Senior
Engineer

REPORTS TO:                      Group leader, Avionic Team



Description

Supervised by group leader of Avionic team, the Engineer will be responsible
of developing flight

simulator software.



Tasks

·         Analysis of Aircraft OEM Data Packages;

·         Implement simulation models in C++ under Windows and QNX
environments.

·         Develop tools to expedite the integration of stimulated or re-
hosted avionics with in-house simulation models.

·         Generate requirements, design or test documents

·         Support simulator testing and evaluation effort with test pilots
or customers.

·         Analyze and fixing simulation model deficiencies throughout the
life-cycle of the simulator.



Requirements

·         3-5 years’ experience in avionics (simulation or system design).

·         Proficient in C++ programming, and Matlab/Simulink, Java/C# nice
to have.

·         Good knowledge of avionics data bus communication standards such
as ARINC 429, 453, RS-232, AFDX, etc.

·         Good technical writing skills in English.

·         Self-starter and good team player with the ability to work with
tight deadlines

·         Good analytical and problem solving skills.

·         Good knowledge of at least two of the following systems:

o   FMS

o   Auto-flight system

o   Communication

o   Indicating & Recording System

o   Power Plant Navigation System

o   EGPWS /TCAS

o   Weather Radar

o   Flight Controls



Job Details:

·         Location:                          Montreal

·         the pay is:                         70 - 80K
