Regarding details – the role I’m thinking for you is as an Avionic
Engineer with a large airline based in Montreal, at Dorval.

They have recently begun a major overhaul & completion project, it’s
looking at in the range of 30+ aircraft – so yes, while this is a contract
(initially), it’s by no means a short-term project.  This will be multi-
year and will only grow in scope.  They have multi-disciplinary teams, and
would be looking for an avionics engineer – someone like yourself who can
look at the layouts, troubleshoot issues and find ways to bring the craft to
completion.

In terms of opportunities for you – it’s a great team, and knowing the
general manager first hand, he is dedicated to the growth of his team
members.  In terms of work opportunities – it would be a chance to work on
large aircraft, some of the biggest in the business.

Does this sound like something you’d be interested in? I’d be happy to
find a time to speak on the phone; just let me know when and we can arrange
it.

====
This is really dry – but this is the “official” list of responsibilities
for the Electrical Engineer role with cabin interiors:

-          write detailed engineering instructions for the embodiment of a
modification on an aircraft or its components

-          write detailed procedures for inclusion in component or aircraft
maintenance manuals

-          design and detail changes to mechanical / electrical
installations on aircraft including production of modification drawings

-          support modification embodiment on aircraft

-          write repair instructions and technical justifications

-          carry out aircraft surveys to support the preparation of the
documentation to implement a modification

-          carry out cost evaluations of aircraft and component
modifications

That’s straight off the contract, and pretty dry.  The better job
description might be “work with an interesting multi-disciplinary team on a
huge overhaul of cabin interiors for an entirely new brand”.  What do you
think?  Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.  All the best!
