Summer days on the river

This morning went kayaking on the river after a while.  Even new blister is appearing after that - old calise gone.

Saw a lot of turtles coming out to bath in the sunshine - beautiful day to day - nice breeze and blue sky.  Old big ones, medium size and small ones.. having a whale of a time. Getting not so timid - I can get quite close and they stay right there - unmoved.

Lots and lots of frogs - green and brown - now you see them now you don't

Saw a very playful beaver - lying in the water - mouthing some twigs and reappeared three time with his eyes and mouth towards me . Jump back into the water and then reappear ten feet away.  Must be a young one. Have no fear of humans,.  Yeepee!

Then saw a bird - a big cormorant high up the top of a tree - twigs.  Just stand there and move the facial muscel causing a big "flash" in the sunshine. Puming his hair.  I kayak closer to it but it overvious did not like it.  Big whilte splash coming down - luckly misising me and the kayak. I persisted and did not go away.  parked the kayak by the shore and lie down to watcj it.  It then ignored me.  He got it all figured out.  Why bother - humans cannot fly - I am thirty feet above the waters - don't waste my time watching out for you. Birds are smart.

Love there lazy hazy summer days!.. wish it never ends.

Thanks! Great great summer, haven't got one like that for a long time. No bad weekends whatsoever! Jewel weeds growing wild near the water this year - 2 - 3 feet high - normally no more that 1 foot. But the swamp is drying up at the back and animals need the water - very few mosquito as a result.
