Saturday Feb. 28, 2015 @BM Instructor Ken, Mike Ride Vicboy's car started at HWY7/400 at 6:30am. We arrived P2 before 8:30am, after wait a few minutes I exchanged DD card to a ticket. Vicboy went to lift at 9:00am. I spent a few more minutes to communicate with brothers on Wechat. I was on lift about 9:15am. It was a sunny day. The visibility was extremely good. I saw Vicboy after a few runs but we kept same distance until the waiting line got quite long I saw him in the end of line. I waited him on top of slop,we skied together utill 10:40am I ran to P1 for lesson. At P1 it took me 10 minutes to get on lift, so I only ran once before lesson. Today we only have 5 students: Jeff, Roy, Andrian, Ye and me. Since too many people waiting lift, we only ran Runius once then switched to P3 Apple Bowl. May be due to slop steep, or mogule icy, I could not ski mogules well like what I did last week at MSLM.I could not continuous ski at all. The fearness dominent everything, I seat back, noaborb, no grip, no weight onoutside ski, can't turn quickly. Imagine without these fundmental skills what I could get. Both instructors kept saying and reminding us these skills again and again but we just could not make it. Drill we practiced 1) hop and turn on top of mogule or on flat slop to re-centered 2) turn on side of mogule. Ihad no feelingon that. Late of day, I felt that on once. 3) aborb on top of mogule, extend at valley 4) grip 5) moving body forward. Both instructors ski mogule very easy and beautiful. But us, Jeff was okay, rest of us were heavy! In the afternoon, I practiced many time, but still not felt good. Until 4:20pm, P2 still have a lot of people, it took me 15 min. wait for lift. I ended at 5:30pm, arrived home ~8:30pm
Staturday Feb. 21, 2015 @ MSLM 4th MM lesson Instructor Ken, Mike After separated into 2 group, I followed Ken. Ken skied very well, flexible, simple and easy. I can feel he made a lot effort to show us some tips onmogules. He also observed our drill very detail and told us where we can improve. He pointed out I bent my body forward instead bent my legs. It has been for a while I could not get right feeling I could ski in last year. Because I bent wrong joints I could not get better mobility, which I have been pretty good last year. He taught us 2 improtant drills in today's lesson 1) grip on back side (down hill side)of mogule. I was not really sure what grip means. I looks like bent anchore so that knee can turn to uphill, like carving. compared with slid, it is more firm 2) re-cernted on top of mogule, hop, move body forward, which can be done by trying lift pants athipon top of mogule. The mogules @ MSLM was really light green without icy so I could countinuous ski from top to bottom. I practiced many runs in the afternoon. I felt using more energy turn on top of mogule, sometimes I tried to turn below top of them. Itwas part night. I forget how I wasted the 3 hours last year, I even repeated it again this year. The only reason I decided to takebus was I used a voucher so I don'tneed to pay additional $10 but 3 hours I wasted cost more than$10. I could do something during the boring 3 hours, but myiPhone run out battery and I forget broughta powerbank. The anual party day, we ran race together with NTSC, my time was about 55" in middle of STEP 6-7 female category. Well I never practice racing and I weared old narrow skis for mogule lesson. What can I expect?
