You do not have to go very far for Aurora Polaris. I have seen them twice. Once when driving at night from Calgary to Edmonton - that was the first time and I was not sure what it was. It lasted quite some time about 5-10 minutes I would say. I was in awe. The second time again at nights driving on HWY 15 north to Mont Tremblant - at a dark stretch of the highway. I was surprised that I could see it there. But it did not last long this time. However when you see that on a dark highway it is quite an experience.
