I think 4 seasons is quite a nice hall even compared to the others in Europe. It is designed by Jack Dianmond a well known architech in Toronto. Compared to the more modern ones like the one in Hamburg, I like 4 seasons better.
Yes that opera house is special. It is designed by the Wagners and built to stage Wagnerian operas like the Ring. It is very deep and high so that the sets can move in and out. I do not know if ever I will have the chance to watch the Ring there. But I watched here when the Four Seasons Centre opened - that was their inaugural show. I even made friends with the strangers sitting around me during the Ring Cycle as it takes 4 days to finish the Cycle. Perhpas any other Wagner opera does not require that long wait at Bayreuth. I wonder with the Internet whether things have changed. I was talking about the 80's.
But that would be no fun. Parsifal is only 5 hours I think. To make it into 3 days would be sacrilege! Ring Cycle is fun to go> it is be staged in North Amercia quite frequently.
