Ha, before you know it, spring skiing is already here. While most of Heavenly’s morning grooms will be tracked out one hour after the opening, the lower Nevada Trail may remain smooth all day, smooth skiing.

After two mouths absent, the old man winter finally pays Heavenly a visit and brings some much needed snow to the mountains, 13”, not a big dump but enough for powder skiing, visibility is poor but powder is soft and smooth, excellent powder skiing.

It is predictable that a few warm days after a snow storm will turn powder snow into spring snow. Spring snow, no ice, no bumps, slick and fast, with comfortable temperature and pleasant weather, spring skiing makes one of the best skiing environments, enjoying the ride.
While the spring skiing is just blossom, the ski season is cut short by coronavirus pandemic. Thou Heavenly plans to reopen in late April or early May, pending “the situation of Covid-19 as well as weather conditions,” but I doubt it would happen, nevertheless, we did make the best of it, the last run of the season.
