Summer in Toronto there are lots of festivals as well. This weekend there are three that I am aware of - Indiian festival at Gerrard between Greenwood and Coxwell- lots of good and beautiful sari for ladies - perfect for summer water sports wraps on the dock after swimming. Then there is the Jazz festival at the Beach - nice food and drink if you feel bluesy. Then there is some festival going on at Bloor West Village - if you like East European food and stuff they are great there!
I went to Port Perry on Lake Scugog yesterday at a friend's house facing the lake. Beautiful and lots of people fishing. This lake is quite shallow and has lots of vegetation in the water so it looks like a lake full of fish. Winter time you can do ice fishing there as well. on the main street of the town there are nice shops for good shopping. Lunch at the Piano Cafe is great and inexpensive and both food and service are good. Takes only an hour to drive there on nice country roads.
Who said there is nothing to do here? Lots! Too much almost.
You should try "Double Push" technique in inline skating? It's even faster and much more fun than conventional skating for speed skating. It is my favorite.

I will certainly try "double push" next time. But I kind of have doubts on "double push". Why Olympic speed ice skaters never use "double push" technic?
The skater in your first video doesn't use "double push". It's beautiful.
But for sharp turns, I think "crossover" is more effective than "double push".
