标题: 温市的地头蛇们
圣诞期间，惠斯勒的住宿有啥好的deal吗？还有，有哪些网站或渠道找性价比好的住宿？先谢谢了。

我的印象是，任何vacation，圣诞节前才有deal, 圣诞期间就没有deal了。
如果有，我也想知道，虽然今年不准备去。以后真想去。

恩，四月也是12月23日到1月8日。我也知道圣诞期间贵，可那段时间我们自己也有较长的假期，不出去的话是在是太浪费了。我本来想去Lake Tahoe，可JS怕圣诞期间那边雪况不好，提议可以去Whistler看看，甚至说也可以去欧洲打酱油。我觉得现在加币这么强劲，还是去美国比较好，西部那些雪场还都没去过呢。你们想去哪里呀？

As expected there is rarely any discount available during X'mas. Best is to book for an apartment where you could make your own meal. Otherwise dinning at Whistler is expensive too.

不过要是可以和你们一起凑热闹的话，去哪里都行！
圣诞节，早点计划也是可以省些银子的。我昨天还去Big Sky网站上打算先把打折卡买了，早买便宜超过50%。反正，我们还会去Big Sky的，即便不是圣诞，也会是二月（我家小四月2月还有10天假期，这的学生怎么这么多假期？！）

BigWhite和Silver Stat准备三月去，所以就不考虑了。 Big Sky倒是可以考虑，另外两个我得查查在哪里。

Grand Targhee is in same area as Jackson Hole.
Sun Peak is a family ski resort in BC.

今天无意中得知西部某个雪场的某家酒店明年三月一室一厅的房子几乎都定完了。所以不得不早点计划。

it's very close to Grand Targhee. 应该不错吧，不好就去Grand Targhee，那里基地就海拔近10000 尺。他们的网站是这样写的：
Touch the magic of the Tetons. What’s your flavor of wintertime fun? Skiing or boarding through wide-open acres of euphoric powder? Winding through wooded glades and scenic meadows on cross country skis? Accessing over 20,000 vertical feet in a day of SnowCat Adventures? Grand Targhee has it all.

我好像记得你把她放在你的5年计划里了，就想着那里还是和大部队一起去吧！我罗列的雪场都是比较适合我们一家三口去的。

Lake Louise of Calgary area is an good option. And there is another ski mountain in close by Banff area.
Calgary people can give more info

X'mas time for BC interior is a big risky. Feb and early March is definitely a better timing.

JS好几年前就有这个想法了，他想在蓝山搞club house， Whistler太远太贵了。

针对加拿大国内市场圣诞节的特价最早要的10月出来。可以订一下whistler blackcomb, whistler.com的e-newsletter. 这样有特价的时候你就知道了。

圣诞节一般是12月26-1月3日是最忙的时候，如果有机会避开这个高峰是最好的 -- 比较好找deal, 山上也不会太忙。

如果不打算租车的话，找能ski-in/out 的住宿是比较好的。Creekside的Evolution, First Track，Legends 不错的，Village 里面Westin, Hilton, Pan Pacific Mountainside, Upper Village 的Fairmont 都是不错的。如果luvski一家人口多的话，也可以租小别墅。可以去allura (http://www.alluradirect.com/whistler/)，Resort Quest ( http://www.resortquestwhistler.com/) 之类的管理公司或私人出租的网站上找找。

如果打算租车的话，还是找能ski-in/out 比较好。：）

Resident who live in BC and WA could apply for Whistler Edge card.  Edge card comes in 1/3/5/10 days (number of days equal to the number of day tickets).  Other then the ticket discount, there is special for accommodation from time to time.  Obviously for people living in the East, they can't apply for this card.  However, you could ask other people (like lupo or me) to check Edge Card's deal as well.

Accommodation on the Creek side (the back side of Whistler) is usually cheaper.  However, all the main facilities are on the village side (e.g. IGA supermarket, liquor store and most of the restaurants).

You basically don't need a rental car for just skiing at Whistler.  If you're staying in the village, everything is withing walking distance, plus there is shuttle bus as well.

Whistler is an upscaled resort style place and so as their price in the holiday season.  For us who lives in Vancouver, we usually just do our day trip (1.5 hr each way) to Whistler.

I didn't know that they changed to all Canadian now (it used to be BC and WA only). That's good for those of you not living in BC.

EdgeCard gives you the best ticket price most of the year (unless on those days that you could use other discount coupon, like http://skifreedeals.com/)
