St. Moritz (圣莫里茨) Switzerland

作为冬季体育运动的发源地之一，圣莫里茨可以说是久负盛名。她也是这世界上三个举办过两次冬奥会的城市之一（其他两个是Lake Placid和Innsbruck）。就城市本身来说，圣莫里茨有点像美国的Aspen，都是有钱人的冬季度假之地。在她城里充斥着豪华商品的专卖店，住宿更是贵的离谱。不过对滑雪的人来说，嫌贵可以住在另一小村celerina，火车一站之地，而且同圣莫里茨的Corviglia有滑雪缆车相连。

就旅游而言，圣莫里茨还有一个特色，就是她是瑞士的旅游火车线冰川“快“车的出发站（另一端在泽马特－－Zermatt）。在这里不要被这个”快“车所迷惑，更不要把她想像成中国的动车组，这是全世界最慢的快车，291公里路要花七个半小时才能到。不过这条线一路是风景秀丽，又连接着两大滑雪胜地，去欧洲滑雪旅游如果包括这条线的话一定是不错的选择。

圣莫里茨有三个主要的滑雪场，Corviglia， Corvatsch，Diavolezza。其中Corviglia最大，缆车站也在市中心，很方便。

Thanks JS sharing the beautiful pictures.  The Swiss Alps are so wonderful I have taken a train and wandered in Switzerland on my own with a day pack on my back  - during my younger days.  I remember visiting St. Moritz and the train ride was spectacular.   I have never skiied there .  Right in the middle of August I remember going up to Zermatt and the Japanese youths staying at my hostel asked me if I want to join them to go skiing at Zermatt.  Coming from Canada I did not think much of that particularly in the summer.  In addition my interest was in rock climbing and hiking at the time.  Also I did not think at the time that the snow would be any good.   Now I think about it  I realized I missed the chance.

Kick may be you be my ghost writer!  I do think I have a very interesting life and it would be nice to tell it sometime.  However I also think everyone has an interesting life and it is awaiting you to discover.  Members at our Forum all have very interesting lives and they all have stories to tell.  Maybe we can do a collection of stories from us and that would be the funnest thing to do !
