VSC is seeking local candidates to provide quality engineering support in Mirabel, Montreal. Task: Quality Engineer
Duration: On-going
Frequency: Approx. 40 hours per week
*Part time positions available as well***
Requirements:
Work with the supplier to resolve engineering, quality, compliance issues
Develop the supplier to meet customer's requirements
Ensure the suppliers comply to their quality plan
Complete First Article Inspection pre-planning review and product verification during the entire build process
Complete First Article Inspection verification per AS9102 (Hands on Experience Required)
Technical conduit for all quality related tasks, requirements and questions
Monitor and verify suppliers’ control of sub tier suppliers being used
Assist with the development of the conformity packages during production
Monitor compliance to configuration control requirements (ensure product is being built to the correct approved model revisions)
Provide regular status to QA management on supplier progression through final acceptance
Review and monitor suppliers manufacturing planning for completeness
Assist with corrective action investigations
Perform in process audits to ensure compliance during the build process
Knowledge of computer skills and Microsoft Excel and Word programs
Must have a computer and cell phone
Comfortable working as an Independent Contractor (1099 basis)
Optional:
NADCAP experience
Hands on experience with landing gear components
Additional auditing/inspection positions available for AS9103 skilled engineers.
