Yeah.  I went there during the last week of October and there was a landslide in the gorges - we had to delay our sailing and also wait for some tourist from Shanghai who could not land in Yichang,  who finally joined us by bussing all the way.

It is magnificent.  If you have a chance you should take a trip.  We had people on the boat driving down on a bus becuase the weather was bad and the plane cannot land on Yichang.   Took then some 15 hours by bus and they made it.   It is an unforgetable trip.
