I just saw this on the site Thanks JMelon. This is not a lesson and those are not students. These are excerpts from the Canadian on snow presentation about Canadian technique and teaching presented by Canadian Interski team member ( called Demo team) in St Anton Austria in January 2011. The "students" are not students but are demo team members from other countries like Austria, Slovenia etc. I went to the CSIA convention last week at Tremblant and ski with an Interski team member and that is what he was showing and conveying to us - form follows function. The idea is that we are not overly chasing after the form of skiing but rather adapt the form to the function. That is newest thing these past couple of years and much emphasized by the CSIA demo team when we compare oursevles with other ski instructing methodology and techniques with other countries.
