Better fit, smoother flex and enhanced walkability highlight this year’s ski boot offerings, with innovations across the board giving new joy—and power!—to your feet.
Nordica’s new Fire Arrow is a three-piece, three-buckle shell focused on flex and rebound to better mate with today’s beefier skis. The brand also enters the alpine-touring realm with the new Hell&Back Hike Pro, which features an automatic walk/ski mechanism. Both employ carbon fiber EDT technology, a three-piece shell design to increase lateral power, a 45-degree instep retention buckle for heel-hold, and dual-density PU soles.
Based on its Inferno race boot series, Tecnica debuts the Demon, a four-model, 100mm-last, all-mountain line offering more room and a personalized fit. The Demon 130 employs a Power Chassis for torsional rigidity and comes with a I-Rebound, a new flex management system featuring a metal plate attaching the cuff to the lower shell for rebound and support. The company also introduces six models in its Free Mountain collection, including the 130-flex Bodacious and 110-flex Bonafide featuring DIN- and Tech-compatible interchangeable soles and an Arch Grip Insert for walking on rough terrain.
Thanks to a 3D imaging foot analysis system, Rossignol introduces its new Sensor Matrix series, delivering one great fit in four widths and multiple flex options. With shells based off the Sensor³ (100mm) boot, a “V” shape in the forefoot gets wider or narrower for more or less room in the toe box while keeping a strong heel hold. All widths come in a range of flexes from 130 to 70, with the shell designed to create direct contact with the foot’s three balance receptor points. Not to be outdone in the fit realm, Lange used 3D imaging of more than 20,000 feet to create its new RX 130, combining fat ski control capabilities with enhanced fit attributes. The first 100mm boot built with Mono-Injection construction, it comes with a vulcanized rubber treaded sole, a new cam lock power strap, and a new, heel-holding internal shape and Control Fit Technology for snugger ankle fit.
Salomon continues its push into the alpine-touring world with its expanded all-mountain Quest line, which now has 14 models for men and 10 for women. All come with three-buckle construction, interchangeable soles for touring or alpine use, a patent-pending hike-ski switch on the calf, and a dynamic power strap eliminating the need for a fourth buckle. Head offers an updated version of its wide-last Edge called the AdaptEdge, with a unique forefront width that adjusts from 102-104mm by turning a screw located on the sole, offering a customizable fit. And Fischer ups its game with a new line of custom-moldable shells that shape to the wearer’s foot. The company unveils five models of the fully custom-moldable Vacuum Fit shells this year, each offering 4mm of adjustment in the forefront width and 5 degrees in forward lean, and custom contouring to the wearer’s lower leg shape. 作者: jluo 时间: 2011-5-6 07:41

thinking about replacing my boot next season. Mine only worth $169 and the flex is only 60, the time taken for the force transfering from my legs through the boots to the skis are too long.作者: ouer2010 时间: 2011-5-7 12:52 本帖最后由 ouer2010 于 2011-5-7 15:53 编辑
