标题: Come see Patrick Chan skate - April 2 Oshawa

Patrick will be volunteering his time to skate in an ice show on Saturday, April 2, 2011, at 7 p.m., at the GM Centre in Oshawa, along with Don Jackson, 1962 World Champion, and the Oshawa Skating Club, to raise monies to help in the Japan Earthquake/Asia-Pacific Tsunami, administered by the Canadian Red Cross. Patrick is also assisting in creating an Osborne Colson scholarship fund, in memory of his late coach, for Oshawa Skating Club skaters, to be administered by Don Jackson.

Tickets can be purchased at the GM Centre box office and at www.generalmotorscentre.com.

Complimentary tickets to friends and supporters of Patrick Chan can be obtained by contacting the sender of this post ( pm snowspring). You can make a donation at the event, or be a Friend or Sponsor of the event. There is also a poster that will be put up later.

This will be Patrick's last public appearance before he leaves for the 2011 World Figure Skating Championships in Moscow which starts on April 24, 2011.

Please join Patrick in celebrating Don Jackson's birthday and helping in this worthy cause!

I just came back from the show. It is quite interesting - from toddler's who could hardly ski, to synchronized skating to prejunior champions to 71 year old Don Jackman's performance and Patrick Chan's quad. It was very enjoyable. I am specially impressed with 71 Don Jackman who was 1962 World champion. He is still jumping, spinning and turning at his age- and it is his birthday today!
